Kupa`a Business Planners Now Open in Holualoa

Holualoa, Hawai`i – Rebecca “Kawehi” Inaba, former owner of Mokulele Airlines, has opened a new company in Holualoa that focuses on business planning, promotions and marketing. Kupa`a Business Planners, located in the historic Kona Hotel, will offer custom-built plans and services that reflect the style and essence of the individual business owner.

“The name of my business Kupa`a, reflects my commitment to my customers. Kupa`a means, steadfast, loyal and committed,” said Inaba.

Founder and former CEO of Mokulele Airlines, Inaba knows what it’s like to work a business from the bottom upwards and has experienced the fluctuations of a growing company. Inaba, who released her interest in Mokulele Airlines last fall, recently completed a leadership program with the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce and had been exploring possible business opportunities.

Kupa`a Business Planners will assist business owners with developing plans and strategies that include clear direction and objectives, said Inaba, adding, she especially wants to encourage other entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams. A complete business plan, says Inaba, enables a business owner to be prepared to: support a loan application; raise equity funding; start a business; set a value on a business; evaluate a new product line, promotion or expansion; define agreements between partners and define objectives and strategies for reaching those goals.

Kupa`a also offers a range of marketing and promotional services for small businesses, specifically designed to build awareness of a company’s products or services. “Many small businesses cannot afford to hire someone with expertise in marketing and promotions to enhance their business,” said Inaba. “Kupa`a allows small to medium businesses the opportunity to choose from a range of services and will tailor these services to meet the marketing/promotional needs of the company.” These services include: marketing research, event planning and execution, writing and distribution of media releases, and creative promotional and design concepts.

Drawing upon her years of experience as a business owner, Inaba intends to offer a full-service consultancy firm aimed at helping other business owners realizes their goals.
